Double win in Misano for FFF Esports

20th March 2021

FFF Esports set an amazing performance in Misano, for the Friday Championship by Racing Club International, by scoring a double win with Beniamin Baumann. The 17-years-old Swissman scored his maiden success with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO with Orange1 FFF Racing Team colors, which also marks the first success for AIDA Pro E-sports in this partnership with FFF Esports. After two good qualifying sessions, with third- and second-best time registered, Ben managed in a smart way the start of the race and kept a good pace over two sprint races, by 30-minutes each. In Race-1, when Ben was comfortable third, two drivers on topo collided on lap 15, which gave Baumann the chance to take the leadership until the chequered flag. In Race-2, starting from the front row, the Swiss sim-driver managed to take the lead with an overtake in sector, dominating the race until the end. Curiously, Misano track registered also the first win of the year in 2019, when Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli won in the Romagna venue, leading the team to the amazing Triple Crown that season. This a perfect climax for FFF Esports, only one week after a Top-10 achieved in Silverstone for an Endurance race when Ben, although contact in the first stint of the race when was leading himself to a podium position, set another great recovery until some important points.
