Hankook FFF Racing Team set to race its first ADAC Total 24h Race at Nürburgring
31st May 2021
Hankook FFF Racing Team is about to set an important milestone in its history, competing for the first time in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the iconic endurance race on the legendary Nordschleife circuit. The Chinese squad will field a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO for Giacomo Altoè, Mirko Bortolotti, Marco Mapelli and Franck Perera, fitted with Hankook Ventus Race tyres.
Hankook FFF Racing Team gained access for the ADAC Total 24h Rennen contesting successfully the six-hour qualification race on May 9th, scoring 19th place in the SP9 Pro class after 41 laps. This has been a precious opportunity to prepare for the main event, optimizing the #63 Lamborghini set-up, gathering data about strategies and learning more on traffic management in a multi-class event, with a total of 125 cars entered to run on the 25.37-kilometer track which mixes the Nordschleife and the Nürburgring GP-Strecke circuit.
Hankook FFF Racing Team got its first taste of the challenge during the preceding “62. Eibach ADAC ACAS Cup” on May 1st, round three of the 2021 NLS championship. This is the series which orbits around the 24-hours marathon, featuring a “Green Hell” exclusive calendar.
The long-awaited 2021 Nürburgring 24 Hours weekend will begin on Thursday 3rd June, with two qualifying sessions at 12:30 and 20:30 respectively. On Friday, Qualifying 3 will take place from 15:30, in advance of Top Qualifying at 18:30. The race will get underway at Saturday’s 15:30, ending exactly one day later.
