FFF Racing taking 'win or bust' approach to GT3 Le Mans Cup finale at Estoril

FFF Racing Team has nothing to lose and is targeting the top step of the podium with the sole McLaren of Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs in the final round of the first ever Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup season at Circuito do Estoril (21-22 October).

Early season form suggested FFF Racing would be in the mix for the inaugural GT3 Le Mans Cup title, but the Italy-based outfit fell out of the race when it was hit by a run of misfortune with the #55 McLaren 650S of Hamaguchi and Quaife-Hobbs.

FFF Racing denied strong podium with tyre issue at Spa

FFF Racing Team by ACM arrived in Belgium for Round 5 of the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup keen to show both reliability and pace from the #55 McLaren 650S GT3. It was partially a case of mission accomplished this evening (24 September, 2016) as Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs finished fifth in the two-hour race at Spa. However, the result was clouded after losing an all but certain podium position in the final laps following a tyre issue.

The much-awaited sunshine brought out the very best of FFF Racing Team on Saturday (18 June) morning in the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup’s headlining ‘Road to Le Mans’ race at Le Mans.

Hiroshi Hamaguchi and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs guided the #55 McLaren 650S to another sensational second position after a stirring drive, against competitors who had previously completed a 24-hour race on the 13.6km Circuit de la Sarthe.

Japanese gentleman racer Hamaguchi was slightly intimidated by the legendary French racetrack on his first run in the wet in practice.
