Pole position and podium for FFF Esports at the Nürburgring
18th January 2021
Another successful event went in the records for FFF Esports. On Thursday 14th January 2021 the Esports department of ORANGE1 FFF Racing Team by ACM saw its driver Beniam Baumann racing in a “Gara Test” organized by Asfalto Rovente Competizione for the GT3 World Series 2021 series. The one-hour race went underway at Nürburgring race track, the iconic place where in 2019 Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli scored an important win on their way to conquering the Triple Crown in the GT World Challenge Europe.
Baumann, supported by AIDA Esports in this joint venture between the most famous multiband marketing company of Southern Switzerland and FFF Racing, set an amazing pole position in the very last minute in 1:54.237, beating by 0.042s all his rivals. At the race start, Ben took the lead until tire degradation made the car more difficult to drive, forcing Baumann to drop positions when he made the mandatory pit-stop. With a smart overtaking and his lapping skills, Ben recovered up to third place and the podium, scoring another great result driving for FFF Esports.
Thanks to this performance, FFF Esports by AIDA decided to attend with Beniamin Baumann the whole series, which includes six endurance events of 90 minutes each, scheduled every two weeks from 27th January to 6th April, with events broadcasted on ARC TV YouTube Channel while AIDA Pro Esports Twitch channel will show Beniamin’s on-board.
